SällBo is a new way of living - a group accommodation in Fredriksdal with integration in focus where you choose to live a little less and share a little more.
The name SällBo is a combination of the words company and stay. This is where the social life between neighbors from different generations, cultures and life situations is at the center. Housing reduces loneliness and promotes integration between generations and people with different cultural backgrounds.
A former nursing home has been renovated. 31 of the 51 apartments are rented out to 70-plus people. In the remaining apartments live young adults between the ages of 18 and 25, half of whom have recently come to Sweden, without their parents.
In addition to their own apartment, the residents have access to common areas both indoors and outdoors, with plenty of space for leisure and socializing. At least two hours / week, each tenant must arrange or participate in joint activities. Sometimes they cook together, do crafts or just talk and support each other. At SällBo there is, among other things, a common living room, four shared kitchens, an arts and crafts studio, a library, a yoga and exercise room, a games room and a movie room. Outdoors there is seating, barbecue area, flower beds and a kitchen garden.
