In Helsingborg, it is bubbling with ideas, initiatives and tests to find solutions that can contribute to the sustainable and smart city. We want to see if we can facilitate the path between the innovation work in the city and the students in the city's classroom - and vice versa.
We find the most ingenious and creative problem solvers in the school world and if we can take advantage of the wealth of ideas in our classrooms, we can get far in the work of finding the solutions to the challenges of the future. But there is a lot to be done, taught and administered in school and to make it a little easier we want to test if we can take the innovation work that is done and the platforms we use to tell and invite to the innovation work and make it a little easier to use as teacher.
We take the innovation database that innovation.helsingborg.se is based on and add a site where teachers can log in and then filter on, for example, topics, central content or high school programs. Vips, there are a couple of examples of initiatives to work with together with the class. With a few clicks, the teacher can also create their own H22 city expo program and it creates a basis for what our students and teachers are curious to experience before, during or after H22 City Expot. At the same time, opportunities are created for the city's administrations and companies to get indications of which schools are interested in a collaboration with specific initiatives and instead of a couple of different teachers being contacted for collaborations, more people can be invited.
We have found that we can access several of the values we wanted to access by using the Educator site and the child track that is planned for the expo.
