What?

Through Virtual Reality (VR) you can see and experience the future park in Oceanhamnen - even before the first sod.

Being on site virtually provides insight and creates an increased understanding of what is planned. Through scalable 3D models, the user is confirmed in advance that selected volumes, things and materials in what constitutes the park, work in imagined harmony and function.

Why?

Through newfound competence and the city's digital investment in VR, the opportunity to bring the whole and the details to life in a stronger way than what more traditional aids do, acts as a decision basis during the construction process or as a constructive digital instrument in the citizen dialogue.

With the help of technology, we had the opportunity to see at an early stage what the design of the park would look like. It also gave an increased understanding of the volumes of the contents of the park and also the feeling of being in place.

Overall, the employees have gained strengthened knowledge about the usefulness of VR as a format for future projects in the city.

How?

Through increased investment in implementation and technology, we can naturally make VR more integrated in both operations and citizen dialogue. We are currently preparing tests with VR for the Detailed Plan at the City Building Administration, in order to validate its ability to simplify the decision-making process during new construction and are preparing a meeting with the residents to show the Doll Park in VR.

Impact target

Through increased investment in implementation and technology, we can naturally make VR more integrated in both operations and citizen dialogue.

Results

The park in Oceanhamnen in VR has been completed and the tool will continue to be used for more successful visualizations in the future.
