How do we reduce our carbon footprint and create a more circular economy?

Helsingborg must be climate-neutral by 2035. This means that emissions within the geographical area Helsingborg until then must be reduced by 70 % compared to today and that the remaining emissions must be addressed with the help of increased carbon sinks.

Most people live in cities, and cities are responsible for 75% of the global energy use, 75% of global emissions and 50% of global waste production.

How do we stimulate innovation that leads to a more circular and climate-smart society? How can we create more technical and biological carbon sinks in Helsingborg? How do we achieve the awareness, will and behavioral change that is necessary for us to be able to fulfill the Paris Agreement and the goals set by both the City of Helsingborg and the EU?
