How can we eliminate the language barrier for immigrants?

Language is an extremely important factor for integration. When someone comes to a new country, they’re often obliged to learn the language before they’re able to join the workforce, for example.

Today, this is an even bigger challenge for the municipality 65% of the unemployed and 72% of those relying on financial support from the state were born outside of Sweden. It’s especially difficult for immigrant women to enter the workforce. This challenge can be linked to a lack of sufficient education, which is often required for employment in Sweden. How can we remove the language barrier for newcomers to Sweden in order to give them a quicker path toward employment and self-sustainability?
